On that dark and windy night, we were struck by a vile and criminal act. Our first and, at the time, only Mercedes Sprinter—purchased just a year earlier with enormous sacrifices, savings, and hope—was destroyed by the flames of an arson attack.
In those ashes lay more than just a vehicle; it was the fruit of our labor and the promise of a future that someone wanted to break. Seeing that charred vehicle was a soul-crushing experience—a painful and profound blow that could have stopped anyone. Seeing it reduced to a blackened skeleton, helpless under the rain, was heartbreaking. It felt like the end. It felt as if the message was: “Stop, you cannot fly.”
As the smoke cleared, something stronger than fear was born from those ashes—something that fire cannot burn. We quelled our anger with an even greater vision and a promise: for every inch of scorched metal, we would build a kilometer of excellence. An insatiable hunger for redemption drove us never to settle for “good enough.” This is why we never gave up, fueled by the will to rebuild and start again with COURAGE.
