The Messina beach experience is the right option for you to enjoy a chilling day during your port time in Messina.
We will pick you up at the cruise port, and after a short drive, you will leave behind the chaotic city center to reach the coastal area of the city of Messina, with outstanding views of mainland Italy, on the opposite side of the sea.
Messina beach here is framed by the ancient mariner villages facing the beauty of the Strait of Messina. You will reach the beach club and take your place in a comfortable sunbed in the shade. Did you know that the beach of Messina is one of the most beautiful in Sicily? The water is like transparent glass, so clean because of the currents of the Strait of Messina. Enjoy the chance to swim while you admire the “toe of the boot” right in front of you, the Mounts of Calabria, and the closest point between Sicily and mainland Italy.
You can’t leave Sicily without trying the famous Sicilian Granita, a refreshing delicacy that you will taste in one of the best bakeries in the city center. This will be the sweetest end of the Messina beach experience before going back to the cruise port.
The Messina Beach Experience starts at Cruise Port or from Travel Agency Discover Messina Sicily, located in the city center. On request, a departure from your accommodation located in Messina area.
We are going to have a panoramic drive while leaving the city center behind. We will see the famous statue of the Virgin Mary of the Letter, the Fountain of Neptune, the ferry port, before reaching the coastal road and start to drive by the sea to reach the beach club.
You will be dropped off at the beach club. Here, you will take your place in the shade of your reserved beach umbella and sunbed, and are now free to relax and unwind while enjoying the breathtaking view of the Strait of Messina: in front of you are the mountains of Calabria, looking at East you will see Cape Peloro – the closest point of the Strait of Messina. If you are hungry, enjoy a bite for lunch at the local bistrot and sip a local beer: Birra dello Stretto -the beer of the Strait.
After 4 hours at the beach, it’s time to go back to the port, but not without having first tried the famous Sicilian granita! For us messinesi, the granita is the perfect cooling break, good at any moment of the day. Similar to the most known sorbetto, the granita is a refreshing spoon dessert that comes in different flavors; the most traditional are: lemon, coffee, strawberry, pistachio and almond. Pick your favorite!
The Messina beach experience will end at the starting point. We share a goodbye, hoping to meet our guests back in Sicily soon.

Departure times are set according to the arrival and departure time of cruise ships based on the calendars that we know in advance. Return on time is 100% guaranted, and we wait for our guests to arrive if the ship is late disembarking.
At the check-out, you can see and decide what you want to pay according to the group size you choose.
At the check-out you will be asked to fill a form with basic info: name, mobile phone number, e-mail, name of the ship ecc. If a discount code is available, this is the moment to use it.

You have the option to pay with a deposit of 40% if the total due amount is more than 500€. We will later charge your card for the balance within 15 days to the tour departure.
