From Messina to Taormina at your leisure is an easy experience designed for those who would like to explore the Pearl of the Mediterranean Sea independently, without being tied to a group tour.
Feel the freedom to get lost in the maze of narrow streets, indulge in a relaxing stroll along Corso Umberto, visiting the many boutiques and fancy stores, and enjoy plenty of time to have lunch in one of the many restaurants with a view of the sea.
After picking you up at the cruise port, you will take a panoramic drive along the highway to reach the city of Taormina. Your tour leader will drop you off at the parking station within walking distance to Porta Catania, one of the monumental entrances to Taormina. From there, you will continue on your own, and you will finally be soaking in the charming Corso Umberto, the heart and main street of the historic center of Taormina.
Let yourself be enchanted by the lovely atmosphere of this very romantic town. If you like arts & history, there are many old churches to visit, and you surely don’t want to miss a passage at the ancient Greek Theater, to enjoy the greatest view of the bay of Giardini Naxos and Mt Etna. After lunch, don’t miss a relaxing walk in one of the most beautiful and quiet oases of the town: the Public Garden of Taormina.
Meet your tour leader at the meeting point on time to drive back to the port of Messina.
From Messina to Taormina at your leisure starts at Cruise Port or from Travel Agency Discover Messina Sicily, located in the city center. On request, a departure from your accommodation located in Messina area.
We are going to have a panoramic tour of the city. We will see the famous statue of the Virgin
Mary of the Letter, the Fountain of Neptune, the St. Francis Church and the Palace of Culture.
You will be dropped off at Porta Catania. From here, you are now free to explore the main street -Corso Umberto-, admiring the majestic Porta Catania and Porta Messina, the Cathedral of Taormina, April IX Square -the most famous and beautiful panoramic point in town, and the clock tower, Corvaja Palace. Before you end this adventure, be sure not to leave without trying the best local foods, such as arancino and the Sicilian cannoli!
Meet your tour leader at the meeting point and drive back to the port of Messina.
The experience will end at the starting point. We share a goodbye, hoping to meet our guests back in Sicily soon.

Departure times are set according to the arrival and departure time of cruise ships based on the calendars that we know in advance. Return on time is 100% guaranted, and we wait for our guests to arrive if the ship is late disembarking.

At the check-out you will be asked to fill a form with basic info: name, mobile phone number, e-mail, name of the ship ecc. If a discount code is available, this is the moment to use it.

You have the option to pay with a deposit of 40% if the total due amount is more than 500€. We will later charge your card for the balance within 15 days to the tour departure.
