Milazzo Sicily hike and dive is the experience that will take you exploring the natural scenario of the Milazzo Cape above and under the water. The promontory of Milazzo Cape juts out into the Aeolian Islands on the Tyrrhenian Sea. You will dive into the colours and the perfumes of the Cape, different in every season. From the top of one of the most scenic path you will have the most beautiful views on the sea and the town, and with your guide you will explore the stages of the origin the Cape.
After the hike we will visit also the little ethno-anthropologic museum in the town, where you will discover the popular cultural activities related to the sea, especially the tonnare, the production plants the used in the past for tuna fishing. After lunch, we will go to the famous Venus Pool, a natural site shaped by the sea in the limestone of the very tip of the Cape.
During the day we are going to experience the underwater life of the Marine Protected Area of Milazzo Cape taking advantage of a snorkeling tour or only if you are a certified diver, you can scuba dive with a professional marine biologist: you will be amazed by the liveliest marine wildlife that one of the best diving spots in Sicily and a marine protected area can provide.

Milazzo Sicily Cape: the promontory with its colours and unexpected views will charm you. You will love the bright blue colour of the Tyrrhenian sea around the Aeolian Islands, the view on the Peloritani mountains and on Mt Etna, and the beautiful Pool of Venus.
AMP Cape Milazzo: a Marine Protected Area is a place where fish can live and flourish without any source of disturbance. The marine reserve of Milazzo abounds with impressive and colourful wildlife. You won’t be disappointed by this extraordinary landscape!
Hikes: with your local guide you can choose the difficulty level of the hike and in the Cape you are going to discover the most beautiful views on the sea.
Snorkeling – Scuba Dive: during the day you are going to do a 2 hours guided tour on a special authorized rubber dinghy around the Cape with some stops to swim and snorkel in the most beautiful spots. Optional: if you are a certified scuba diver you can also choose to experience a deep dive in marine reserve with a professional marine biologist, (possibility to rent the equipment in the diving center). The depth of the dive will be decided according to your certification level.
Sea baptism: if you do not have any scuba certification you can try the so-called sea baptism, which is going to be your first time breathing underwater at a depth of 16 ft with a professional instructor and a short briefing before to dive.
Nature: hiking in the cape you will appreciate wonderful views and some endemic natural specimen, as the famous garofano delle rupi. Diving under the waters of the Cape is like to dive in an aquarium: you will be surrounded by great fish counters, looking at beautiful gorgonians, barracudas, red snappers, starfish, moray eels and much more.
Cultural traditions: during the visit of the etno-anthropological museum you will explore the ancient marine activities of the Cape especially related to the tonnare, used in the past to the slaughter of the tunas. You will also discover more about the typical tools used in the cultivation and harvest of the olives of the Cape.
We will reach Milazzo Sicily and we will start our day with a beautiful hike discovering the nature, the colors and the views of the beautiful promontory jutting towards the Aeolian Islands.
During a lunch break, you are going to taste the typical “pani cunzatu”, a local bread prepared with the typical ingredients of the Sicilian tradition, and sip a beer or a glass of wine by the beach in the wonderful setting of the Tono Bay at the base of the Cape.
In the afternoon we will reach the qualified diving center located in the heart of the Cape of Milazzo Sicily. Here we will enjoy a wonderful 2 hours boat tour around the cape by rubber dinghy and we will stop in some of the best spots to swim and snorkel. If you are a certified diver you can rent the equipment and join a scuba dive with a marine biologist according to your certification level. If you don’t have any certification you can request the nice experience of “the baptism of the sea”, just you and your instructor to try the thrilling experience of breathing underwater.

You can join the dive only if you are a certified scuba diver. The difficulty of the dive will be decided according to your experience and certification level. You will be accompanied by an expert and local instructor, who will decide the site of the immersion according to the wheater and currents conditions to provide you the best experience possible.
You will try the wonderful experience of breathing underwater helped by a qualified instructor who will first explain to you the fundamentals of going underwater with the equipment. After the theoretical lesson, you will dive with the assistence of the instructor at a depth of 16 ft for about 35 minutes.
Remember to wear comfortable shoes to hike. Bring with you your swimsuit and a towel, a diving mask, a snorkel and your fins. If you are thinking about the scuba dive don’t forget to bring with you your dive computer.
